I have a crush on this guy who I have seen on campus and my friend who knows him told me about him. She is his resident advisor.He does not know that I like him.We have seen eachother before but we have not really ever talked. We say hi when we pass by eachother and one time when he was talking to my friend he complimented me on my coat. I added him as a friend on face back and he asked me how I was doing. I was surprised because we dont know each other that well and I did not think that he would recognize me by my picture. I would really like to talk to get to know him over the phone. I was thinking about asking his friend to call him and ask him if it is okay it I could get his phone number and I will give him mine, but I'm scared that is not such a good idea. What is the proper way to ask for his phone number and let him know that I am interested without seemng like a stalker?. Should I send him a message or tell his friend to ask his permission for it? I dont know what to do
From a guys point of view ,how should I ask for guys phone number on face book without seeming stalker ?

True or False: People that you've accepted on social sites like face book and myspace don't talk to you
If true, share your experience please.
Why do people ask you to be your friend on these types of social network sites but they don't try to get to know you.
So, basically you are just some face on their page and they haven't even taken the time to get to know you.
Why do people do that?
Request you as a friend but don't make friends with you.

Face book and friend finder - abuse of privacy?
Why is that, my FB profile /wall and SEARCH settings is listed to friends only. Yet I had 2 friend request via my hotmail account??
I logged on to FB and using the friend finder thingy I seen the FB profiles of nearly everyone in my address book, some of whom ive never spoke to ( msn buddies and so forth).
So how the hell is hotmail connected to facebook??
I am using my uni email addy as my FB login and contact detail?
More importantly, I do not want my profile to come up if anyone seaches for me using friend finder.
im seriously thinking of closing my FB acccount.

They're faked. Even when I didn't have a facebook account, I got them. They're designed to get you to open them and do whatever the e-mail asks, if it's to let a spammer have access to your friends or just to have their pay click. That you actually have an account is coincidental.
