How do you know when someone is online on 'Face book'

It will say online near their name. But they may have disabled this feature.
And if it does say they are online, it means they have used facebook in the last 5mins, but they might not be online right now.
Reply:If they have not disabled this feature, which can be done from the privacy section, then it will show an 'Online Now' badge just below their profile picture when they are logged in.
Reply:Go to the top of the page to 'friends', click on 'online' and then it shows all your friends that are online. Also, it may be on their profile just underneath their profile picture. Hope that helps!
