Friends on face book???

i see lots of folk on facebook with anything from 140 to 600 friends!!! do you think they really know all these people or are they just trying to look popular?? i have 24 friends who i all know, but feel a bit of billy no mates!!!!!!

Gee whiz, I only have six friends on Facebook! One is my sis, four are local friends, and one is an old Netlog friend that actually talked me into opening up that Facebook account.





I think with all my site accounts together ( Facebook, Myspace, and Netlog ), I only have about twenty friends in total. Meh, does me well as I deal in quality and not quantity.





Well, I never really carried over friends from school. But, over 140 friends?? I dare to say most are bogus or just site aquaintences.
Reply:Thanks for the choose! Good to hear, it's all about quality control. I'm more careful about who's on my Facebook profile because it's way more personal than the rest, in my opinion. Quite honesty, I leave the more lax online socializing to MySpace or Netlog. :) Report It

Reply:a lot of people will just add friends of friends of friends on there simply to have lots. I have about 60. I probably only ever see about 20 of them regularly, another 20 maybe once a year at most and the other 20 are generally people i went to school with and haven't actually spoken to in about 7 years

Reply:once you get talking to people on the networks they soon add up, some ask to be added to ya list even if you say just hello lol how could someone keep up with talking to that many people, i don't think they'd be close friends because you'd have be talking to them day and night and trying to remember who was who and who's doing what! be happy with what you got hun, I'm sure your make more friends along the way, some people don't even have 24 x

Reply:You shouldn't worry about other peoples profiles, they could all be school friends or memers of fan clubs etc. I'd bet that your 24 friends are proper genuine friends, not vague acquaintances. And can you imagine trying to write Christmas cards for 600 people...
