How can you get people other than friends to not see your email address on face book ?

i only want my friends to see y email address on face book how can i do that [ps im new to this face book thingy

How can you get people other than friends to not see your email address on face book ?
click on "privacy" (its next to "logout") click on "profile" or "edit settings" scroll down to your contact information (about the middle of the page) find your email, click on the drop down box, and change it to "only my friends" scroll to the bottom and click save.





EDIT: contact email: if your friends write on your wall, you're tagged in a picture, someone adds you as a friend, etc....facebook sends you a message to your contact email to let you know that someone wrote on your wall, that someone tagged you in a pic, etc....if you only choose to have 1 email, then your contact email is also the same email address you use to sign into facebook
