Facebook started out as a social networking site for college students. It has now expanded to include high schools but usually requires that you have been to college at some point (you would have a college email). This helps keep out some of the crazy people. However, even if you left college a long time ago you can still use your log-in email or change it to your current one on.





I think it's a very nice site with some more options and privacy controls.

The exception to that is if you "Poke", invite a friend or send someone a message they can see your page for a while.





It is a lot safer than Myspace, because by its nature to get on Facebook "college" you activated your account through your school account! %26lt;They have opened it up to high school students as well but for the most part you don't come in contact with them. They are in their own little world%26gt;.





Facebook don't have the blog, music, and diversity of Myspace but in its simplicity you can do more and it is easier to find people that you know because 95% of people use their real name and have a picture on their profile.





Warning there has been fights and people caught cheating because of FACEBOOK! It is very addictive and it is not hard to make new friends! If you are popular person or someone who likes to flirt you could spend hours on it!

Reply:I have a myspace and a facebook account. I love them both but for different reasons. Facebook all looks the same. So you don’t get to show your personality threw wallpapers and other such things. You are less likely to get stalked on facebook. Myspace is fun though because you can look at anyone’s page. You do not have to be friends with them first.

Reply:facebook is for college students, unless you just have a .edu e-mail addr. its not any safer... other college kids can be very dangerous too.
Reply:Facebook is great! it's much more private than myspace. The way that it's organized is by schools, either college or high school. You have to be invited by someone from that school to join i think. But chances are there will be someone from your school who uses it already. I've been using facebook for a while now and i like it a lot more than xanga or myspace!
